Damn Jared! Where do you go that you rack up that many miles on both your cage and your bike?? You must be running up and down the east coast on a regular basis![sm=gears.gif]
Does sold and not running count? LOL.
My 93 Mits Eclipse had 220+k on it before the timig kit broke twice in 2 months.
I sold it to a local guy who parts out, or fixes up old cars and sells them in an underprivelidged neighborhood.
I called about 7 people from ads in the paper. One guy wanted to give me $50...until he realized I was about
40 miles away. Wouldn't be worth the trip for him he said, since the car was not even running,
I finally called back the first guy I called who happpened to be the one described above.
He asked me what I wanted for it...I said $150...thinking he would say $75...which would have been fine.
He opened the hood, looked around the interior, and then asked me how fast I was going when the timing chain broke.
I told him about 7 mph...I was coming out of a convenience store parking lot...which had a sharp downward dip to the street.
In other words the truth.
He said "crank it over". I did...he listened...closed the hood, said ok...backed up his tow truck, handed me $150 cash, grabbed the title
I just signed over and left.
Good guy...
Blah...I'm rambling...going for a ride.
Anyway...dead car at 220+k is my record.
