Make 100%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Sure a helmet is DOT AND **SNELL** approved before you purchase it... DOT will pretty much approve anything that sits on your head
and a helmet should be very snug but not tight enough to where it hurts you at all lol... it should NOT wobble...
ive been very happy with my bell apex they run around 200... to be honest I PERSONALLY wouldnt go any cheaper than a $200 dollar helmet... <---- unless its like a expensive helmet but marked down...

Please enlighten yourself with some real information. The article highlights the fact that the Snell rated helmets are too hard and do not absorb enough g's.

right.... So why is it that all top rated helmets are dot and snell approved? Shoei, bell, hjc, icon, arai, joe rocket, sark, suomy, kbc.... Almost all are snell approved....
op if you wanna but a nice looking cheap dot rated helmet and risk having ur brains splattered on the road from your shell splitting in two then by all means lol
personally worse case ide take a overly hard less absorbing shell and a little concussion over being dead
