Helmet Question
i have had an THH T12 or something like that and after about 6 months the vents started to fall off and now i have my KBC TK-77 and it was cheap as hell on ebay too, and it vents wonderfully in this south texas heat as well. have not used it long enough to test the craftmanship, but it is alot more comfy too. as stated before, its mainly the name you are paying for....and ill even provide a source to back this up.....lets see if anyone actually reads the article this time around....

I did, actually. I was kinda being sarcastic. Basically, the author of the article says, "Here's what's safer!" Then Snell comes back and says, "It's waaaay more complicated than the way you put it."
Here's my take: I don't want to end up with any type of brain injury, so I'm going to plan not to crash. I will ALWAYS wear my helmet when I ride, and there is no such thing as "a quick trip down the street."

just an actual controlled test to determine the amount of force your brain is subjected to during impact....basically shows that the more expensive helmets dont perform any better than the others. (quality or features aside)
i have had nolan, hjc and aria. by far the aria is more comfortable, quiet and lighter. All will protect my head, but the aria causes less fatque when riding long distances. I wear the nolan back and forth to work since it's cheap and if it gets messed with i dont' really care. Biggest bonus in helmets i know of is a removable liner. Most high end helmets have that and removable cheek pads. Hjc is a cheap one it's ok, but it's my girlfriends so it doesn't fit well but it has worked in a pinch.

I was suprised to see the $69.00 Pep-Boys Raider helmet had some of, if not the, best numbers for protection????WTF? Anyone wanna buy a Diabolic II anda Tommy Gun in black? Gotta run to pep-boys....just joking, but that was a very interesting and informative article.
