I have an autocom. It's more expensive than the Chatterbox, but work in higher speeds. It's the same brand that the trackers use. As opposed to having a big attachment to your helmet you have 2 speakers and a mic that you mount inside your helmet, the walkie talkie and rest of the device you can put into bookbag or something. Runs off batteries. There are about 3 wires from the autocom...one for the headset, one for the walkie and the other is for an MP3 player.

Since your American buck is worth more than ours, try these guys (New Zealand), have not got on myself yet, but a few friends say there good. you have to provide your own UHF Radio/scanner. Don't be to confused with the navigation of the site.

My friends and I have chatter boxes and they work great. I would recommend that you by a "quite ride" . They are a peice of fabric that covers almost the entire opening of your helmet, leaving room for your neck. these help cut down on wind and road noise that interfers with the chatterbox. You can pick these up at www.denniskirk.com for under $50.
