Billy will be charged if found negligent. They will wait for the toxicology results to determine what exactly to charge him with. If he was intox., it will change what he is charged with.

 

Wrong. A relative of mine hit a bicyclist because he blew through a stopsign on a road that intersected hers. The way the road was set up, she didn't have to stop, but he did. The guy was with a group of his friends, and they told the police there was nothing she could do. The police told her the same thing, and no charges were filed, that was the end of it. If it's a freak accident in which you're in no way at fault, you can be in an accident involving a death and have no charges filed.

Obviously this wasn't the case for Lane, but I just disputing your original incoorect claim.

wow that's ironic and as far as the article mentioning the dead rider forget it, you got to realize that the papers exists to make money, if they name dorp billy lane then they will sell more papers.

 

Charges might not have been filed... YET... but can you say "Wrongful Death Suit"? Billy's about to lose his business and that poor guy's family is gonna be filthy rich.

I feel really bad for that family, and no amount of money is going to fix it. But at least Mr. Lane is going to pay in more way than one!!
