I promise. Especially when you see that other guy riding down the road on YOUR custom bike with all the work you did to it.
Stick with the f4i man. My advice would be to pick up an old bank repo or something, and turn it into a project bike over a long period of time. Work it over completely, and turn it into a track beast. That's what I would do. Aside from allowing you to keep the f4i, it would give you something bike-related to do on those rainy days.
Dude, I promise, if you get rid of the f4i, you will miss it.

<shrugs> Brand aside, only thing that really matters is what will you be happier riding. I won't go to the trouble of listing the pros and cons, you know them yourself by now. If you can handle riding a Gixxer without wanting to slap yourself or get "squid" tattooed on your forehead go for it. Personally I think the newer gixxers look decent and ride ok, just a matter of whether or not your willing to accept the image that comes with them.
One warning though, just like with girlfriends, the newer models always look nice and seem like they'd be fun to ride, but you never really know what you have till it's gone and the shine tends to wear thin pretty quick. Grass is always greener, etc, etc.

I'd do it. GSX-R is still an incredibly awesome machine, regardless of the douchebags who ride them. Which by the way, I still think is an annoying stereotype. The majority of my group (40+) rides Suzuki, and I'm happy to ride next to them.
Yes, Rojer you'll miss the hell out of your F4i. But you've had it a long time, and it was fun. What do you do now? Personally, I see it as you have two options: 1) Spend time removing some mods and maybe trading the custom paint for some race plastics so you can track the bike. Or, 2) You can trade it for a fun, new machine, that has better performance than your F4i and just enjoy the memories you had with the girl. You have your 1000RR for street and tons of time to make new memories with that one. If you want a track machine, get a track machine.
