Default Gsxr r/r

I have been looking at all the GSXR R/R posts but I havent found an answer on how many connectors the R/R should have.

One connector or Two connectors?

I think the two connectors come with 6 wires and the one connectors come with 5.

does this even matter?

thanks bros

It's not so much how many wires it has, but how many different colors of wires it has. Check this page.

No, I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is that the number of connectors is not important. Whether it has 1 connector or 2 doesn't matter. If you look at all the wires and put all the colors together, then according to the document, if there are 4 or less colors, then the regulator/rectifier is designed to work with a permanent magnet type of system. That's what our bikes use, a permanent magnet alternator. On the GSXR regulator I used it had 3 solid black wires, 1 black wire with a red stripe, and 1 black wire with a white stripe. That's a total of 3 different colors.

The 3 wires that are all the same color go to the alternator. The other 2 wires are the positive and negative wires that go to the battery for charging.
