well any time you can get em to say you were going slower helps. After all 52 in a 35 doesnt look too well esp ins wise, since its almost 20 over n then its considered reckless driving. Maybe see if you can meet with the judge prior to the court date n pleading to a lesser count

np as I do I

oh and btw showing my military ID never helped me out of a ticket, although the uniform did.

Look in the Yellow Pages for a traffic law firm. Call a few of them to compare prices. For a fee they will be able to get it reduced to a non-moving violation and no points on your license and thus your insurance premiums will not go up. In many cases you won't even have to appear in court.

Insurance shouldn't be too bad, I got pulled over in my truck going 77 in a 45, had it marked down to 19, and the insurance didn't really go up other than they took away my safe driving thing, but full 100/100 deductible coverage on the f3 is like $60 bucks even after that and only being 19, so I doubt the insurance will mind if you don't make a habit of it, try and get out of it, but if you can't, don't sweat it.

Psycho crush that shiz. Sorry, your username.. couldn't resist.. nerd impulses.

Anyways, contesting it will probably cost you more in the long run with lawyer fees and whatnot, consider that the lawyer will have to spend your money, I mean, their time going back to court a few times. The cops have to go back and immediately test the equipment (given there are two vehicles available) to see that it was all accurate and there are a bunch of other lawyery things they gotta do. If these were the last points you were allotted by your DMV before a license suspension, I'd say fight it. In New Jersey, most insurance companies give you like 2-4 points of freedom before premiums go up so if these are your first then don't stress it and pay the ticket.

If you know that you were speeding then pay it and move on, I don't think there is any way out of it. I got a ticket for going 6mph over. Then the cop had the nerve to say I give bikers a bad name. I couldn't fight it cause I was speeding and the cop wanted to be a di*k that day. Sorry buddy it sucks but I think paying it is your best option in the long run as it will probably save you time and money.
