got my first ticket yesterday!! leaving my home town after seeing my parents and on my way out of town i pull up behind what i thought was a bmw cruiser bike that had a passenger on it.. so other then get stuck behind him i passed him.. then i look in my review mirror and hes right on my *** so i pass car and take her up to 130 and this bike is still right on my **** so i'm thinking no fukin way is this cruiser keeping up with me right now.. so i slow down to see what kind of bike it was and it was the hayabusa... and from there we where going 90-140 up the highway (very low traffic area) so where hauling *** having a good time and this guy is passing cars on the left and right sides i would wait tell there was a straight with no traffic, then catch back up to him. well went around a turn and i heard one beep on my radar detector and hit the brakes, and tried to flash my lights to get him to slow down but the hayabusa continued to pass another car on a double yellow infront of the cop so i thought that i made it and the cop didn't get me.. well the cop pulled out infront of me and then stuck his arm out the window for me to pull over.. well i got busted for 80 and hayabusa got it for 100... so it could have been alot worse.. i even pulled out the firefighter card hopeing he would give me a break and he didn't.. however on a lighter note the cop was really pretty nice and wasn't a dick about it, didn't get all loud and controling like some cops i've dealth with. also i talked with the guy that had the hayabusa and he told me that hes pusing 230hp to the rear wheel with a chip and no turbo. he also said that hes takin it to 200+ well anyway we exchanged numbers and now i've got a new buddy to ride with..

yeah yeah some of you are going to say well you deserved to get worse then a tickit for going 140.. well inless you've never taken your bike past 70mph then stfu.

 

What brand radar detector? Sounds like after you pay that ticket it's time for a new one.

 

IS ANY RADAR DETECTOR WORTH HAVING AT THAT SPEED?

 

its a beltronics x65 it actualy works pretty damn well and has saved me many a time. i have picked up ka band from around turns and k band up to 3 miles away but its not a cop detector.. inless the cop has his radar gun on then its not going to pick anything up. which is why most cops use instant on ka band where they wait tell you come around a corner or what ever then turn the gun on so you dont have a chance inless you see them first.

 

For the first few lines of your story I thought it would be that you passed a motorcycle cop lol. I wouldn't go ride with the Busa dude, he sounds like a maniac!

Man, I'da hauled him in for being an idiot. Nice or not, riding like that with a passneger on board is simply irresponsible. I know you were having a good time and it's not necessarily your fault, but you played into the game enough that I would imagine you would have felt horrible if anything did happen.

I would have just backed off and let them ride. People are just ignorant when it comes to passengers.

 

should get a radar jammer!!!! shoots back a flase reading the the cops gun! the only thing is that the cop can still tell aprox speed by how fast you pass a still object to the next still object.
