Thank god i studied computers for four years. I could imagine thats what technical support would be made of though, bunch of random miscommunications coming from everywhere and going to nowhere.

+1, a BS in Computer Science paid for itself, because I don't have to call these people, OR have my computer serviced by Geek Squaders.

I've eaten nothing but satisfaction pancakes since teaching myself the difference between a motherboard and a hard drive...and how it all fits together. I'm no software geek by any stretch, but it's hella fun putting boxes together with your own hands. Cause then when something breaks, a quick click at Newegg and presto, cakes on the griddle.
