shoortbus, why not just get a tank bag and bring some shoes with you to work?

Does anybody have any recommendations for a good boot that can double as an everyday boot? My problem is that I commute to work on the bike and am stuck with whatever is on my feet for 8 hours in an office, with a little bit of walking around to service my customers. I was looking at some A-Star riding shoes...I'm not particularly interested in a full-blown track boot, but just something that is good for riding and won't look ridiculous or feel awkard if I wear them all day...

+1 To icon field armor boots, they are great. They offer the best protection that I have seen of any boot.

I also commute to work but I leave a pair of shoes at my desk so I just switch out when I get here.

I have a pair of SIDI Doha boots that have saved my feet and ankles twice so far. They're great boots (when they're broken in) and you can usually wear them around everywhere.

I also noticed that a lot of people (if you are looking for track boots) like the Tecknic stuff.

Well, I wear a backpack now, but it's usually filled with my school stuff or softball gear or whatever else. Actually, I LOVE brandon's idea of leaving shoes at work. Why the hell didn't I think of that??? Good call bro. Anyway, sorry for jacking the thread, thanks guys.

I've been riding w/ the A* SMX-4's for over a year now, wear them everyday to work. They make a little noise when you walk in them, but they are still semi-comfortable. Nothing like a tennis shoe, but still good. I got the black ones, if you wanted to you could black out the white parts (for an office setting). Shouldn't be to noticable. I'd recommend them.

While we're talking boots....Not to hijack...I need a very narrow width. Freakish "A" width foot, and no one makes a MC touring boot. Normal D width I'll swim in, even when I put inserts in. Anyone know of a MC boot maker that offers something other than wide and wider? Thanks, sorry for steppin' on any toes.

Go check out product reviews section under "cheap boots" or something like that. It should be near the top. I just bought them for 62 bucks shipped and have put like over 1,000 miles on them already. I can even walk around when I get where I'm going and they're comfortable. Vega boots. Check them out

my icon super duty 2 boots work fine for everyday boots....there not as comfortable as tennis shoes but again there boots...why carry an extra pair of shoes with you? Im not big into the race style boots, have another pair of icon that are race style and they are uncomfortable, have metal at the heel (so they are loud when walking) and they look stupid when your not on your bike...plus they are uncomfortable to walk in. but then my dog ate one of the straps off that pair of boots so they are useless now anyways.
