Whats a good riding boots?
You can't really go wrong with a name brand manufacturer's road race style boot. Expect to spend near $200 for something nice, or more if you want the top of the line. I had Alpinestars SMX boots for about 3.5 years and they were great. Last fall it was time for new ones so I got their new version of that boot, the SMX-4, and it's even better. Very comfy, good feel and grip on the soles, and good protection.
Right now I'm sporting a pair of Diadora race boots and they're pretty decent for the price. I got them at the local dealer on sale for about $150. They held up nicely in a crash last year, but they aren't comfortable at all after I'm in them for a few hours.
I just ordered a pair of Sidi Vertigos the other day and they should show up tomorrow. Quite a bit more pricey though, around $275. Will let you know how I like them when they show up.
Probably can't go wrong with either Sidi, Alpinestars or Oxstars...expect to pay though.
