florida--->west virginia.....meet up and ride????anyone????
ok so here is the plan...ughhh took like 2hrs to figure everything out
i wish i could show a map cuz it would be awesome
Orlando, FL to Kearneysville, WV (eastern panhandle)
I4---I95---I26---I40---74W---US19---441N---Blue Ridge Parkway begins
It is gonna be about 650 miles to this point
BRP (total length is 470 miles) to Skyline Drive (total length is 105 miles)
This will get my to Front Royal, Virginia
From there I am going 340N all the way home, if i listed the roads it would get to confusing
All in all it should be about 1280 miles broken down in 2 days. I could ride this in 1 day but not unless i get rid of this 900RR. I plan on stopping and staying at the beging of the Blue Ridge Prwy because i know the posted speed limit is slow (45mph and less) so I imagine that will take a while to traverse as well as Skyline Drive. It says it should take about 10 hours for the first leg of the trip and the mileage is nearly the same as B.R.P. and Skyline so I am guessing about 14 hours for that section + another 2-3 hours from Front Royal. All in all, it will be a awesome trip and I've seen bunches of pictures of the Blue Ridge Parkway and they all look fantastic.
If anyone wants to catch a section with me, please give me a call 240-217-1411
The date is not set in stone because i can't find my calender...most likely be the last weekend of JUNE depnding on dates.

RE: in search of fellow riders
Twisted, sounds like a fun ride. Just a heads up, don’t know your riding habits but something to watch out for. Might want to watch your speed for the first 30 miles into S.C. I know of 5 or 6 spots they like to sit and bust, been driving 95 for the last 3 years. Not just the state you have to watch out for, Hardeeville and Ridgeland city will patrol 95 also. After mile marker 33 things tend to cool off a bit. Hope it might help and good luck. Ride safe
P.S. 95 out of Georgia bottlenecks into S.C. (3-2) if traffic is heavy it usually takes a good 10mi before things ease up.

RE: in search of fellow riders
checkin on craigslist for everything under the weather cuz we all love craigs i found a guy driving his bike from jacksonville to somewhere in va and having a trailer with him and willing to tow a bike for a buck fiddy up to va so i probably gonna do that.
I just gotta call and see where he is going to go in va to get a new route but that will CUT DOWN a lot of travel time and wear and tear on both me and the bike....a relief if he still can
