Default Flat tire

Ok on the way home from work i notice my bike staring to ride funny a few blocks from the house and then at the stoplight i look at my back tire it is going flat so when i get home i check it out and a screw right in the middle what can i do if anything or am i going to have to buy a new tire???

Yup... +1, new tire. You can have the tire patch-plugged (where they take the tire off and use a patch and plug), but then it (by everything I've seen, including your owners manual and tire manufacturer reccomendation) is only good to "80 mph", and they STILL rec. you replace it and that the plug is supposed to be temporary only.

-1 new tire.

Been having a plug on my tire since october. Got a screw in it after 1 week of use. I've been up to 130mph on the plug. It doesn't leak or anything.

Oh ya that was about 5000 miles ago.

Hard to say... search funtion on "tires" is your friend... especially in the 600 section. A ton of opinions... the most popular would be the Pilot Powers by Michilin. I like the Metzler Sportec M3's personally... I would just hunt for prices and read reviews... it's the best you can do without trying them out on your own.

the shop i went to wouldnt even patch for me when i got a flat. They said absolutely not we wont be responsible for your safety...my 2 cents. funny how shops differ so much.
