Quick and easy check of the charging system. While bike is running, disconnect positive terminal of the battery. If it continues running, charging system is functional...if it dies, the charging system is toast.

ok cool thanks for the tip. now i dont have to go buy a multimeter. i thought i had one, i dont. say the break pads are worn down, what will that cost to get them replaced? thanks
