Distance Techincal Training
Hey all, saw an ad for Penn & Foster distance education for Motorcycle Repair Technician, so I emailed them requesting more info. Got it today and it looks kinda neat. My question is that has anyone done any distance technical training, certificate type thing? I have no desire to start a career in Motorcycle Repair, nor do I want to open my own shop so on.....but it's just something that I'd like to learn, I think it would be fun and also helpful. The price is 6-7 hundred or so, I don't care cause the Navy and TA will pay for it. Any experience or advice on better training of this sort?
hrm, that is interesting. I attend the University of Phoenix completely online, idk how you would manage to take a course like this without hands on experience.......I like my online classes, but this is a whole different ball park.
I dunno either. I would immagine it would all be theory of operation and all. The class comes with a tool kit, pretty much the basics and a multimeter, but all the tools are name brand. Maybe I gotta swing by the junk yard for class material?
