Cool Did my good deed for the day.

Well my friend found a AWESOME looking jeep on eBay, dude was working on a cruise ship full time and didn't have time to drive it. Well he SAID the it was at a "eBay" warehouse and that they will be taking care of the transaction. My buddy, if he still wanted it needed to send payment via WESTERN-UNION to a individual (not a company) within 24 hours if he still wanted to buy it.

Anyways, my friend told me this story as he was talking to his fiance about it and I was like, wait a minute, that's a scam, First off eBay will NEVER email you directly for money, and you NEVER pay for anything on eBay with western union. (or I don't). So I saved them a cool $2800. She reported that to eBay, and the transaction didn't happen. I caught it at the last minute too, she sister was going to send the money in the morning to these asses of people.

So moral of the story is a pat on the back for me, but I am bewildered that these people take others for idiots and try to scam people. In all actuality they WOULD'VE probably been off skweeky clean. It would've taken forever for a case to start, and they would have sent money to a individual. It would have taken a long time if they ever would have gotten their money back. Beware folks and watch out for scammers.

Butbutbutbut you've been selected as the winner of the $1,000,000 lottery! All you have to do is Western Union the notary and legal fees (1%) and we'll get the check right out to you!

I'm heir to Persian royalty. All I need to do is provide my social security number to verify my identity and a money transfer of $500 via Western Union to complete the paperwork for my inheritance. Don't worry. I'll remember all of you... lesser humans.
