Should I avoid a demo bike if I'm looking to buy new or is it not a big deal seeing that the price is really good?

 

What kind of deal would you be getting in comparison to a new bike? What type of bike is it? How many miles are on it?

I do not see anything wrong with buying a demo bike.

 

2007 gsxr1000 for 9800-ish out the door. I called another dealer and all they have is a 2008 for 11499 plus their fees and what not.

 

I do not think that it is that big of a deal if it is a reputable dealer that took care of it and maintained it correctly. Ask what they did to it while it was stored up for those two years.

 

Nothing wrong with buying a demo bike or demo car for that matter (I bought my last car that way) you get the same warranty & saving some serious cash. Only thing that sticks, is the premo price that put on demo's, instead of calling them 2nd hand or used (which they are). Just go over it & make sure there are no scratches or bits missing.
Oh yeah, haggle a better price cos they want to sell it, find out wot the current price for a used model is & go from there.
