Default Debating buying a Interceptor

I have been debating getting a new bike in the recent months. I have a 05 f4i with mild mods. I was debating a 600rr or the 1000rr but I can't see the point in two race oriented street bikes. I know the f4i isn't as race as the rr's but if I have both I would never ride one and I dont want to sell my f4i. So I have been looking at the interceptor. I like the looks and the feel and the single sided swing arm. My only question is according to hondas website it is 10799 for the base and 11799 for the abs model. Is it worth the extra grand. I understand how abs works but it seems kinda weird and unsafe on a motorcycle where you have to balance? Any thoughts?

Would love to see one and test ride. Don't know much about them so I don't have anything to add.

I know two people with them, and they are a blast to ride. Great bikes. The ABS is pretty cool, and I'm sure I could get use to having it.

ABS is nice but if you are good at braking, you can stop faster than ABS. I've never really driven a car with ABS but in the rain I can stop pretty quick b/c I've taught my self how to do the work of ABS. I don't really see the point of ABS on a bike unless you ride in the rain. Its really not that helpful on dry pavement because you really shouldn't be hitting the brakes so hard that they lock up. In the rain its really easy to lock up the brakes which is where ABS helps.

I personally dont know why they put it on. The brakes are linked.

I have a 5th gen and wouldnt trade it for anything.

I am a big fan of the Interceptor too. But that still seems to close to the F4i. Unless you are talking 200 miles one way, is the VFR the bike you would ride?

ABS?? For $1000 bucks? Yeah why not.

That sound... that wonderful sound I'd rock one.

And the Harley guy reaction: "WTF? That doesn't sound like a crotch rocket."

You will not have a lot of choice anymore. There is no F4i this year! What the hell is up with that. The 600rr looks sick but, i was kind of thinking about trading my rr in for something a little more comfortable since i never have time to ride the rr to it's potential. Does anyone know if they are going to come back out with a f4i in 09?
