Angry Damn you barter system!

So a friend of mine owns a motorcycle shop. I decided to change my swing arm on my 929 for one off a 954. Got the swingarm from ebay, stripped it, had it powdercoated. He said he was gonna get the neccesary parts (bearings, shock plates, etc). Meanwhile as a trade i re-wired his entire kitchen. All his old wiring was shot, so i had to redo everything. New countertop outlets, fridge outlet, microwave outlet, relocate some switches, blah blah blah.
it was a decent trade for me as i am out of work and have nothing better to do. He makes out because if he had to pay someone for what i did it would have been pretty pricey. Now over a month later, his kitchen is up and running but i still have my stock swingarm on my bike and NO parts. WTF. So, I hit up Ebay, 954 shock with linkage, 15$ (in the mail), 954 caliper and mounting bracket 25$ (in the mail), and finally i hit up the local dealer for new bearings kinda pricey 75$, but at least i know ill get them. It would have been nice to get them at wholesale prices through his shop though. so far I've done about 1500-2000$ worth of work at his house, he hasn't spent a ****ing dime on my parts! Good thing i didnt finish all the work. he thinks im gonna do some reccesed lighting for him..I THINK NOT!
So i can't wait for all my patrs to get here so i can go to his shop and say "heres all the parts DO IT..NOW!!
Sorry i'm a little angry and needed to vent!
Rant over, thanks for reading

ouch man... thats no good... did you two agree that he would buy the parts? if so ide show him the receipts and say here ya go... bike labor isnt cheap but its not nearly as expensive as a laborers fees

im glad my friends are the type that just help out without wanting a dime in return... like my buddy who pc all my stuff for free... and my buddy whos painting my fairings... i mean some time down the road if they ever need my help ill be head over heels trying to do my best to help... but they do it not wanting or expecting anything at all in return

No, no, I wasn't gonna charge him anything. I was just doing him a favor. I just wanted to order the parts through him and told him i would pay for everything. He's the one who said, no don't worry about, ill get everything, and we'll do it on a saturday night, have some beers, blah blah blah. It just pisses me off, i don't care if he can't get it or doesn't want to do it. Thats fine i have no problems with that but dont't tell me you will and then keep stringing me along and not do chit!

If you've got the proper tools, i don't think its that bad, pretty sure i can do it myself. Which is probably whats gonna end up happening.I'm also changing the swingarm bracket. My biggest concern is getting the bearings in there. Everthing else as far as tools and stuff I could probably pick up as as I guy. Any one have suggestions on what i might need?

I'm not really sure what the advantages are if any. I just wanted a black swing arm. I was browsing through Ebay and found a 954 one for 20$, thought it would be a little different. So I asked around a bit and was told that it would fit. So instead of taking mine of and having it PC and not being able to ride while it was being done, i figured id just buy this one, collect whatever parts i needed and just swap it out.
