we i was a kid my dad used to call them "ninja bikes" i guess its sorta because back then, the sportbike style was mostly ninjas, not gxsr's or r6/r1.......and some hurricanes....

i think crotch rocket is totally dependent on how its used in a sentence. i dont prefer the term over sportbike, but if its used in a non demeaning manner, i dont care.

 

some of you guys in here are to sensitive and judge people on stupid crap.

i have been called a redneck and i dont stop listening to the person or get offended. my camaro has been called a mullet mobile and i dont get offended either. so what its just a freaking word.

i do notice most people that use crotch rocket are usually not acquainted with sports bikes . but im not gona get all bent about it and its not like my whole world revolves around bikes if they have no interest i change the subject.

I have a 25th anny RS... never heard that one...

I use the phrase crotch rocket cause when people ask me what bike I ride I say '04 600RR Honda and they just stare at me... then I say crotch rocket and they know exactly what I mean even though in their heads they probably see a GSXR. lol

 

The guys at work call my bike a crotch rocket, It dosen't really even register with me anymore im so used to it
