Untill you meet somebody like me and your looking at my brake lights as we hit some twisties. Dont let the chrome fool you on everybody. Chrome does not scream squidly. Chrome was a personal preference had nothing to do with a show piece, on top of that i was able to afford it on a daily non show bike......Maybe you should add the "IMO" on the end of your edited sentence as well....
Moto its about personal preference get what your happy with and only use this topic as others opinion. If you let others decided what you do to your bike you wont be happy a few months down the line....

That wasn't meant as a personal attack on you man. when most of us here think chrome we think of chromed out, stretched gsxr's. IMO-squidly. There are always exceptions and I have seen some nice chrome bikes. I'd just as soon leave the crome to the harleys but thats just my oppinion

Its all up to you in what you want.
Are you using the same color scheme as the pictures? If so, I'd be tempted to black out all of the aluminum. White and chrome never looked like it went well together.
Also, I wouldn't be so hard on JP. Just because he didn't say IMO. Its a forum, and everything said here is based on peoples opinion. We would all have to say IMO as the first word in every post if it wasn't sort of a given. Or, maybe have out sig's state "everything said is based on my opinion".
As for the chrome. it really doensn't add as much weight as people think. Its when you go to aftermarket custom wheels that chrome wheels get really heavy. But just chroming your existing parts, such as wheels, frame, swing arm and various little bits. Your probably only looking at 4-5 lbs of weight added. thats a good dump for me
Chrome Valetino Rossi's wheels, and he will feel it and it would affect him.... chrome my wheels.... I probably couldn't tell the much difference and it probably wouldn't affect me.
There was a post on another forum I belong to that a chrome shop had posted. they took a challenger wheel, weighed it. (around 25lbs) then stripped the paint, chromed it, and re-weighed it. It only weight .25 lbs more than the stock painted wheel. With a bike wheel, which is smaller, your going to be looking at less weight than that. but any rotating mass can affect things to some degree... but probably not enough to notice.
Nice pic Nate... Jamie Eason is one my favorites.. mmm mmm good.
