Thats going to get damn expensive really really fast. Ever thought of just using those carbonfiber look alike sheets with an adhesive backing?

i actally have like a sheet of 36"x15" of the carbon phony vinyl. i thought it would be ok, but after seeing some real gauges and whatnot, i decided its uber not cool. so i was looking at making it myself, and have no idea of costs or anything. hence why i research before i start buying stuff. how expensive do materials typically cost? and what is involved?
