i want to do the bike with carbon fiber fairings...top to bottom...anyone have any ideas where i can find that...i had found some once but i forgot where that was actually...let me know thanx

I don't know of any retailers, but I do have a hard to find carbon fiber chain guard (replaces OEM part 40520-MCJ-000) you may be interested in if you go with the CF look. It is brand new, still in the bubble wrap from Lockhart Phillips, never been used. I can post a pic if you like, but you'll mostly just see the bubble wrap that is protecting it. $50 + shipping and it's all yours.

Yes it fits '00-'01 CBR929RR/RR, and '02-'03 CBR954RR. Yes, it is real carbon fiber.

Just to be clear, the chain guard is considered to be 2 pieces. The piece that attaches to the rear of the swing arm and the other that attaches to the front just behind your left foot. The piece I have is the one that attaches to the front. So you can be certain, it is the part labeled #3 in this diagram: chain guard replaces OEM part 40520-MCJ-000

 

there is a guy on ebay selling a kevlar/carbon full fairing kit. i made a post on 1000rr.net about it. im sure he can make a kit for the 929. the pattern looks bad *** imo.
