Speaking of crazy stuff being found in houses. I knew a girl who's grandmother decided that she no longer trusted the banks to hold her money so she started withdrawing it all over a period of like 3yrs. Every month she was cashing her social security check instead of depositing it, and she was also taking thousands in cash out of her account every time.
When she died, the family found $16,000 cash in her bed alone and thousands more stashed all around the house.

My brother in law got an old wardrobe for his kids room from the Salvo's (Salvation Army depot). His wife was cleaning it up & had pulled out all the draws, when they were putting them back in they found an envelope taped under one of the draws with about $500 in it.
