If she was made uncomfortable/worried by it, Offer/ ask her to let you accompany her to work one day, and introduce yourself to her coworkers, especially to this particular one. Shake his hand, a little more firmly than is considered "friendly" (but don't go overboard with the old "college bonecrusher" ) and tell him
" Hi, I'm Mr. So and so; XXXXX"s Husband.Its VERY nice to meet MY WIFE"s coworkers. (Make constant eye contact the whole time, and don't blink- exessive eye contact is a challenging gesture, and intimidates the other person without being overtly aggressive, if you can pull it off)
You'll be a rockstar in you'r wife's eyes since:

A: you confronted the guy, granting her the reassurance that youre looking out for her and willing/able to defend her
B: Didn't cause a scene at her workplace, thus acknowledgeing her independence as a woman, and helping her save face.
Aferwards take her out to dinner, and buy her flowers. She'll love you for it

I would trust your wife's instincts. They usually are better than men at that stuff. If she is uncomfortable, or feels awkward around him, then I would do something. If you were leaning against his car when he got off of work, you actually wouldn't even have to say anything.

 

did you ever think maybe nothing was said at all. she told you that to get a reaction. kinda like, "this guy told me my hair smells nice why wouldnt you have noticed or said anything?" she might just be fishing for compliments and/or attention. the only way to is go down there and beat the crap out of the guy when he gets off work and then get a reaction out of your wife. if she freaks out and says why would you do something like that,she probably made it up. if she thanks you and genuinely seems thankful she was telling the truth and was bothered by it. just my opinion though, have fun

it's kinda difficult to say...u also have to take in account the way he said it... alot ofproblems arise due to misunderstandin... america has a lot of cultures....somethin he said may be a complimentfor him but may be disrespectful to you... but i was in your shoes i would be alittle concerned but not paranoid...
