No but the simple fact that it still uses a SIM on CDMA and has the QuadBand allows it to be unlocked to GSM, unlike 95% of CDMA phones.
Must i draw my sword on you? lol. Yes thats one thing we haven't seen here in the states until recent. CDMA is useless outside of the US though...sigh we are so behind on the phone trend

He would be able to use the basic wap browser by using the same "hack" that people use to get basic wap functionality on BB's on tmobile for only 5.99(the tzones package) instead of adding the BIS package for 19.99

But Metro doesnt Have a Blackberry plan that is required to run their internet. T-Mobile still have to recognize the Blackberry on a separate plan, other-than their typically internet, I thought that they had a separate plan Like AT&T for the BBs.

No, I was just replying to the comment you made to me about CDMA and GSM not dealing with frequencies

I dont voodoo has his yet... but its not as bad as everyone made it out to be.. easy to txt, and email. I havent had much trouble at all.. hit the wrong key a couple times but nothing major. the surepress feel natural to me.. because never owning the iphone I dont know the difference ya know?

Yes but basic wap is still functional. The cheapos with tmobile that want to get cheap internet(WAP browser only) can get the tzones package for 5.99 which is designed for regular mobile phones not BB's or WMO's(Although WMO's can utilize just about anything that uses data since it doesn't go through a specific server like BB's). On tmobile for example we just change our internet TCP server to wap.voicestream.com which will enable the wap browser to work with the 5.99 plan...by default its internet2.voicestream.com which is the server thats activated on the 19.99 BIS plan...thwhen you activate the BB data plan the carrier sends the BB-DATA service books(which is what tells it where to connect for the BB servers) to your phone...which is what enables the data services like push email, BBMessenger,3rd party program net access, and other BB plan dependent services

Edit, it's a loophole that Windows Mobile users and unlocked iPhone users can exploit to get unlimited internet for 5.99....on a BB though it's useless
