Biker Rebutal
I can hear where your coming from (man) **** I hated that expression, still do.
I realise that most of us get put into a position where we don't want to be by the behaviour of ignorant/arrogant dick brains. My reactions to these fools are spontaneous, that can range from anything from just shacking my head, rude gesture, verbal abuse or whatever.
2 things, most of the time these drivers either won't even understand wot your carrying on about, or just won't care. If you start out with an attitude in the 1st place (like carrying around a golf ball/brick or whatever as a preemptive "Chuck you Farley"), then your just going out for a ride waiting for someone to do the wrong thing. This type of attitude can quickly develop into something really nasty. ( I once saw a guy at a set of lights, get out of his car to abuse the guy in front for whatever reason, slapping the hood, kicking the door etc. Meanwhile some of his mates that where in the 3rd car, got out, walked up & beat the crap out of him). Just ride with the understanding that there are bad drivers out there & be prepared to do what you have to do, to stay safe.
Oh, I will admit that many years ago, I used to ride with the chain & paddlock I used to lock my bike up with, drapped like a sash over my neck & chest, never intended it to be anything other than an easy way of carrying it around (no storage space). But it certainly added "emphasis" to any run-ins I may have had.

Yeah thats easy for you guys to say you can knock some guy out. But for us woman, we got nothin. If we try to pull over they follow thinking you are interested. I hate riding alone. But even with a group girls get singled out I swear. [:@]If I didn't like riding so damn much I would quit. But I love it way to much. [sm=smiley27.gif]Anyways my brother just tells me to go up to the car and knock the mirrior off. Never done it but my brother has and they go speeding off.
This topic makes me realize that on softball nights. I ride my bike with both of my bats protruding out the top/sides of my softball/backpack.
I never get tailgated or cutoff or blocked when making lane changes. Actually when I ride to and from games, I get treated with great respect from everyone. The look on peoples faces when they see me in their rear view mirror is priceless. If someone is pacing me down the freeway, all I have to do is give a quick look over and they either speed up or slow down.
Its pretty funny now that I think about it. Maybe I should just ride with my softball bag more often.

haha. what kinda makes me mad is when i car pulls up to ona side road that they have a stop sign or red light, and u, going perpindicular to them dont, and they slow down to like 4mph and are looking at u, STARING, but slowly just keep creeping half way out into the intersection before they actually stop. its like, i know its a nice bike, but at least pay attention to stopping BEFORE the intersection.
we had to ridehome inthe rain one day, me and my buddy both two up and a car did that to us... so as i move to the left to get around them i put my hand out palm up like, "what are you doing?" and they decide to get close to us so i flip them off and wave backwards to back off and they finally quit. i was pissed... we're two bikes, in the rain, with two ppl on and it just bothered me that people dont have enough commons sense to know that its not cute or funnyto do that. especially with the conditions.
