Bike being blown over by wind?

Not as common as you'd think, mostly micro-bursts to worry about. It can happen, though. I would look for a sheltered place to park the bike when not riding. I doubt it's gonna happen out on the street. Mostly be concerned about where it spends most of it's time, parked.
Of course, now we get to worry about earthquakes, too! lol Not really, ;-)
The real concern is the effect of cross-winds while RIDING. I have literally been pushed over a lane on the highway. Thus, my preference for early morning sport riding, when the winds are calmer.

My bike is my dd for now and I live in apartments so I'm thinking about getting an older workvan for when the snow comes. Just store the bike in the back of the van...work vans are cheap as hell too. Lol
