The beer thread
so this thread inspired me to try something new since im young, and haven't really tried much of the stuff out there....
so last night i stopped by the convenience store and decided between lienenkugels wheat ale, or blue moon, so i got the lienenkugels.....it was ok, wasn't really quite my style, but i had 3 of em. however my wife absolutely LOVED it.....my brain said it was a strong "orange" aftertaste....sound about right guys?
any other recommendations for a "light" style beer drinker?

So Hayden, you like light beers, like in pilsners or light beers like Bud Light and Miller Lite? Have you tried wine coolers? lol, just f-ing witcha man, lol.
The Lienkugel wheats are good for summer time, put some fruit in it and it's good, but not for winter time. Try the Honey Weiss, it's way better.
If you like Pilsners, try Hacker Pschorr, it's a European Pilsner, real good. Try Otter Creek Copper Ale, that's a good "lighter" ale.

Here's another contribution to the CBR Forum alcoholism thread.
I wanted to bring up another one of my favorites. La Fin Du Monde by Unibroue in Quebec (the name of the brewer always cracks me up). It's a Belgian pale stong ale (actually a tripel...means triple the malt of a regular ale) that's big and fruity and malty. I had it earlier in the year for the first time, and just tried it again the other night. I love these belgian style brews. They're not cheap, which works out fine, because they are strong enough (both in flavor and ABV) that you can't really have more than one or two at a time. As far as I'm concerned, you've never really had beer until you have had something coming from Rochefort, Chimay, Unibroue, St Bernardus, Troegs...I could go on and on. I'm happy as hell I discovered these, but did I mention that they're fu%king expensive! Geez! Time to home brew!

Is there anywhere I can find this locally?

Any higher-end grocery should have it. Actually, around me, I can find it at a small grocery chain called Fishers, also at Giant Eagle and Acme. Cost Plus (World Market) has it as well.
La Fin is an EXCELLENT beer, they have another one called Maudite (red ale) that I think is better than La Fin.
By the way, "La Fin Du Monde" means "The End of the World"
about $10 a 4 pack... really excellent post though MadGreek... great beer. I think I can get some of their other beers as well... Blanche de Chambly and Tres Pistoles
