Beards & Bikes
I have a full beard with side burns. I wear a Full-face helmet and I don't get the itchiness in my beard, I get the itchiness in my face, of all places, while riding.
I just hate that I can't reach up and scratch because of the face shield/helmet.
A good technique, though, if you do itch like crazy in your facial hair is to use some mild soap like Dove or Caress and warm water to clean your face. Do it daily and you should notice a difference.
Cheers!

I have a beard, when I was going to work, shaved every day. When I stopped working I only bothered to shave every so often, so my wife just said why not grow a beard.
You got to either shave em off or trim right back about 2 or 3 times a year, keep the face hair strong, to stop the itches I use anti dandruff shampoo & I give it a trim every few weeks. That's my wife's idea not mine, left to me I'd probably look one of those guys out of ZZ Top.
What I don't like about them though is when your eating, you end up with pasta sauce, cappuccino froth or cream hanging off all over the place.
As for riding, never had that sort of problem (I have a flip up helmet)
