I was out riding yesterday and a 08 vette pulled up next to me and i walked all over him...take off and long run. I dont think people in 600's shouls be trying to race anything they are too slow and you will get beat.
haha you make me laugh thank you

Gearing reduces the top speed, no way it would do 177+
Right, butyou're talking aboutactual speed. GSXR_eater is reporting the indicated speed, whichis derived from the RPM of the countershaft.
Ok that is a good point, kind of assumed a speedo healer would beused, but if not itcould explain why the vette ws riding his *** too. Probably wondering why the dude on the thou' was cruising the interstate at 11pm with no cars at 45 lol.

Anyway i guess it could be possible when you put it that way.

EDIT: Wait, that would still make his original reason for dropping it into third wrong since then at an indicated 65 he would be going slower and still not be in the powerband when dropping it down, lol
What's this thing with you clicking into 3rd gear?? i dont know about you but my bike is in thriple digits easy in 3rd gear..I was in 4th on the freeway in low RPM'S put it into 3rd to get my Rpms up..

Most of these guys ride their Sportbikes like cruisers except for the once or twice a year they pay for a trackday.

LOL read it again. And also read your response that youare geared for acceleration. And the responses that changing the gearing REDUCES your top speed. Unless you gear it for top end which would just be dumb. Also, why the hell are you cruising in 4th on the freeway? Do you not like gas, cuz thats just wasting it.

AHEM!

I don't know what mods you're referring to, but liter bikes won't do an honest 200 with the typical pipe, PCIII, and flapper mods. That video is funny,I didn't know upshiftingcould beso difficult. It's a good thing he used his turn signal when he made that lane change at 180 MPH, you don't want to give them pesky cops an excuse to pull you over...
