I was actually looking to get an AR15 that one of the guys is selling till he told me the price, WOW, those guns are sure pricey, I've been shooting my sks for 2 years and never had a problem with it, and the ammo is cheap, and the price that I paid for it I could've gotten 4-6 sks's for the price of ar15, but ar sure does look good though.

AR's can be expensive. It depends on what kind you are buying and what all it has on it or done to it. If you think the AR15 are big $$$$ check out the .308 AR platforms like AR10's.

A grand for the AR15 or the AR10? I have 3 AR15 and they were right around 1100-1200 each. All have run flawless. My AR10 once it is done will be pushing the $1800 mark.

The AR15 is a great platform.

not the best damn looking thing on the market, but the original AK 74 break the round cylinder with two or three holes with what looked like a funnel shoved in it . Yes, that damn ugly one. If I remember correctly, in some tests actually showed it reduced muzzle climb significantly and a few years backit was offered for theAR platform. butcan notRemember who was manufacturing it though

ive seen these, i think del-ton or bushmaster makes some. but i want something that looks good too haha it doesnt have to be the best working seems how im not in life or death situtuation with it. and i deff. dont use it for home. i gota remington 870 18" with 7rd tube for that.

without bells and whitles you can get a decent one for 600-700. u just gotta buy a lower reciever than buy a rifle kit from del-ton.com or something like it.

To the original poster, my favorite flash hiders are the Yankee Hill Phantom or the Smith Enterprises Vortex. I don't know your state or if they allow them, but you may want to give them a try. Are you looking for just a flash hider or a compensator or brake?
i have seen that yankee hill one, and it looks good. i had that idea on the back burner. the vortex thing just doesnt look fancey enough haha.
