Anyone near ft laud good with paint? Or know so e one?
so my 93 900rr needs paint and fairing repairs, ive read the guides, and thinking of doing some plastic repairs, sanding and prep work and then painting the bike myself, unless i can find some one in the 500 ish range locally that can do it a bike shop quoted me 2k but that's just crazy, he even said the bike is worth only 2k and he didn't even think about doing it for less.. Seemed like he just wanted me to walk away or spend crazy money.
so before I start a solo project I figured id ask here first...? the bike was free but I have 800 into it, she runs great now but I just want to make her pretty.. I read chinese fairings are cheap garbage and can melt plus dont fit right.
again any suggestions are appreciated, I intend to keep the bike.

All hear say. You should ask people that have the "Chinese" fairings before you assume. With that said, With everything im sittin at under 800 with new fairings and a painted tank. My fairings have yet to melt. They also fit pretty damn good......Part with those used plastics and buy a set of quality "Chinese" fairings......Do you actually know how they make their fairings? they took an OEM fairing, made a mold, and make fairings with that mold....Im a satisfied customer, my next bike will be done the same way..
