Default Anybody good with Audacity?

Im trying to pull a song from youtube using audacity (because I swear to god, the song does not exist anywhere else... Ive googled half the freaking lyrics and I cant find an artist or title), and once the bass hits, it has a s**t-ton of distortion. Anybody have any ideas on removing the distortion?

Ive tried it; it doesnt really help. Sound removal sort of helps, but it either removes too much sound, or it doesnt remove enough distortion. Compressing it seems to work a little bit, but the sound quality leaves something to be desired after compressing it.

The distortions bad enough that the vocals sound cracky due to it. And the Frequency Analysis doesnt have any real frequency pitches to eliminate. This is driving me crazy lol

*edit: the high pass filter sort of works, too... but the vocals are still cracking [:@]

lol to be completely honest, Im not 100% sure what Im doing; my experience with audacity is (until today) limited to screwing around with it in computer class back in high school. Right now, Im pretty much experimenting.

thanks for the help though

I use Audacity too, but dang... sorry I can't help you there. Post the link of the song here and maybe we can find an alternate solution.

Okay, solved the problem entirely... I found this. F**king amazing converter on that site. It worked like a charm... copy/paste the videos url and click ok, and it converts it to an mp3 and downloads it to your desktop
