Advise on pool rendering :-)
Here we go again !
If by rendering you mean the final surface coat, there's some silica grit (very fine) which you mix into the paint which gives it a not-slip finish - sure you can buy it in OZ.
I used it on the deck of my offshore fishing skiff, and it was brilliant. (subsequently used it on my garage floor as a non-slip when wet) - OUTSTANDING
How did we go from pool rendering to furry friends ?

SpiritRR spotted Max my dog in one of my pics

A nice way to digress

Yer I know about those fine particle renders ..we do have many here to pick from Pete , but I am going to epoxy finish our pool ...
also...
Those fine particle renders cost a small fortune as well , and do not outlast the epoxy ... from advise I have had ?
Which means that I am only sand and cement rendering ...

It is the process of doing the render ( any render ) that I am after info on

are you following me or am I following you Pete ?
Stuff I used wasn't expensive, and I did a whole garage floor and a boat deck for about $30 AU !
Used a two part epoxy paint, mixed in the silica, rolled it on - use cheapie roller, worked fine !
You can use talcum powder too, but it's hellish expensive, and not as good.
I'll post a pic of the Shadow dog (Shepherd/Rottie, also with tail) but must leave for work now.

... but I think you have skipped a few details ..( not hard to do with the way this thread has wandered
)My pool is at the moment a rough spayed concrete finish.... left rough for the specific purpose of the finish rendering sticking ... then painting mate ...
I have picked out the expoxy paint that I am going to use ...its worth near $600.oo AUD just to buy.
I cannot short cut to the paint till I put the plain cement render finish on the concrete ...
Have a nice day at work mate

and yer ..do not forget whack a pic of your Rottie in ...
may bee we should start a " this is my dog thread " ?
