Default 94 st 1100

ok so me and my father have been riding together for a few weeks now and he owns a 94 st 1100 and me a 06 f4i. well the point of the story is that 1100 handed me my tail (i pushed my bike but not as far as it can go, yet dad says same thing) i know its 1100 and im a 600 but shouldnt i at least be able to hang with his?

well he has like 100hp and 81ft tq at 660 lbs. your bike is like 400 something wet and has 104hp and 46ft pounds of torque. i would say you should be able to keep up if not pass him. did you race from a dead stop or rolling?

An ST1100 is no match for a modern 600. You should eat him alive - the modern 600's will stay with my 1000F (133 BHP) up to 150 or so, then the 1000F has longer legs.
Your Dad has less horsepower and probably 150 pounds extra weight than you do.
The ST was never designed to be anything but a tourer, and IMO was not the best example Honda have ever produced. 108BHP from a bike that size.......not enough.
Your bike sounds as though it needs something done to make it run right....................

my neighbor rides a st1100 and it is a sweet tour bike, but he cant hang with the sport bikes, your six should be very close to to keepin up.IMO
