Plays games better or good for 3D Modeling.

Scores are pretty much meaningless. It's basically a pissing contest for geeks. The ubber geeks will funnel a ton of money into a system to get that 1 or 2 extra FPS when in the majority of cases the average person would never notice a difference.

I will say, it is the reason why a PC will always have better graphics then consoles. The extra input devices means that we are able to have more complex games to play that are impossible are very difficult to implement on a console.

My PC isn't a slouch, but it is by far the best. I don't need to be on the cutting edge to get my PC to do what I want it to do. I will say, though, my Windows Vista is a little bloated.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. PCs are designed to do a variety of things, and unless somebody dumps THOUSANDS into the best components, it's very difficult to keep up with the next gen consoles. If you're willing the spend the money, and I'm talking upwards of 4 Gs, then you might outclass a PS3, but the price-to-power ratio when it comes to gaming is undoubtedly won by the consols. Consider this....for $500 or $600 you are getting the power of 8 processing units and a state-of-the-art GPU. Not to mention the fact that PC games are scaled down at times to tailor the average home PC, while developers for consol games are able to utilize the full power of the system without thinking about minimum requirements.

Yup. Its just like putting your vehicle/bike on a dyno. Its just to see what power it has. The "real world" performance is what matters. I've just been farting around with my pc.

Also on "why" people spend money on pcs. Its just like your bike. Do you need a different muffler? No. Do you need a power commander? No. You buy them cause you can and want to.
