Hmmmm. I don't remember for sure what it cost to license my '91 CBR, but I think it was around $65. That's the last time I have to license it though. RV and bike licenses in Montana are permanent - the license is good for as long as you own the bike. That's why so many people from out of state work the system and license their RV's in Montana. After putting down a quarter of a million or so on their motor coach it's important that they don't pay license in their state of residence.

You should register it in Georgia... $36 for a tag AND a title!

If you are just reregistering in another state then you wont have to pay sales tax again.

My DMV will look up the value in the dealers black book if they think your trying to con them so you have to be careful of what you tell them...
if your buying your bike from a dealer that is understandable but if your buying from a private party you can say whatever you want ! who says i cant sell my motorcycle for 1$ haha dmv and the state of CA gets too much of my money anyways so i have no problem screwing them over

$20.00 for initial registration, $8.75 for tags a year after that for tags. I might have to deal with an assload of rednecks, but SD does have its advantages, including hundreds of miles of practically empty highways.
