I think a ton of bikes are ugly until you get used to them - I even think the same thing about cars honestly. At first I didn't like the redesign of the corvette in '05 but now that I've done more research and have seen them on the road it's now my 2nd favorite body style (can't beat the '69 stingray).
My vote is go with the '08 - Performance is more important than looks, and looks can be modified / manipulated a lot easier (and usually cheaper) than performance...

Well guys thanks for the help. But...... I called around for all my insurance and everyone was rediculous on this bike. It was like a 1000 bucks a month. I can't justify 1k just to ride it around 3 times a week. I'm so upset. I just don't understand this crap. They rape people on these things. I just don't think it's fair. I had a 2000 ZX6 that was so cheap I loved it. This is so rediculous. I have the MSF course and I can ride great but they are dinging me for all these idiot kids that wreck on there GSXR's because they try to be bad a$$. I got a great price on my CBR out the door. I wanted to go get it and now I can't. This is just depressing.
