Yeah, this was my first bike, had it for almost a year now. Never had any close ones before either, so the one and only one I did it really good. I'm always a fairly cautious rider too, so I'm kind of mad at myself for hitting that stone pile. Oh well, I'll get another one. I'm fairly certain this one is totaled.
On the plus side, I called the couple that had picked me up and drove me to the hospital. They were really nice and were going to call me later in the evening anyway. They wanted to see how I was doing and were glad to hear that I didn't have any serious injuries. They want to take me out to dinner or lunch sometime next week, I told them that I would be the one taking them out.

I have ridden with Darrell several times and can attest to the fact that he doesn't ride over his head and push his limits when riding.

That's one of the reasons I was so surprised to see this thread. I know a lot of riders that I would've expected to see have an accident before I would've expected to see it happen to Darrell.

One thing I was sure of, though. I knew Darrell would be wearing his gear. Good job Darrell!

Glad your O.K. REDNECK. J/K but it's good to hear that people can survive bad crashes like this because they wear thier gear.

Thank God for proper equipment and guardian angels! Good luck to you, and I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like a really neat couple that helped you out.
