Talking break in

hey guys sideshow bob here new cbr1000rr 08 owner here will have bike delivered on jan 22 merry xmas to me bought new at metuchen powersports, already have my valk serviced there. my question is this, if it ever warms up what is best break in for this bike, how should i treat this till 600 mile check and what to watch out for any help would be great, also i live on jersey border so anyone wanting to ride together when it gets warm just give me a shout be good stay warm

They'll tell you what the break-in procedure and period is when you take delivery. I believe you can't rev past a certain RPM for the first few hundred miles. Basically just take it easy on her for the first few hundred miles.

TIP: New tires are slick when first ridden on so be careful leaning into those turns!

Hrm.. metuchen is right around the corner from my home. How much did you end up paying OTD, if you don't mind my asking?

I also live down the street from Metuchen Honda (south edison). The '08 leftovers were going for around $7,599 when I was there last month. They still had one or two left last time I was there. Two yellow ones I think. They were also offering 0.99% financing as well.

yes guys i have one of the two yellow and black ones my sticker was 7599 less 1500 down 4.99 for 60 months lets hook up for a ride this summer i intend to go to wildwood quite a bit this year be good guys
