The batterie should come with the acid...and it is very easy. If it is a sealed type of battery, the strip that is on the acid pack is the top for the battery, just remove the top and put the acid pack on the holes and let it drain, then I reccomend CHARGING the battery WITH THE COVER OFF!!! MAKE SURE IT IS OFF WHEN CHARGING...sealed batteries DO NOT VENT AND IF YOU CHARGE IT WITH IT SEALED IT CAN BLOW UP!!! VERY BAD AND DANGEROUS!!! Once it is charged put the cover on by tapping it in place with the back of a screwdriver or something and you are finished!! If you do not CHARGE it before you use it the battery will NOT have a full charge and the moment you put a load on it, the "memory" will be set..meqaning that the static charge or "intial" charge is as much as it ever will be and will not last very long as in relation to if it were properly charged in the first place..
I have seen crashes at trackdays where a BRAND NEW bike did not recieve the intial charge and the battery died, mid corner at 80 mph, shutting off the fuel injection, ignition, ect... in the process...It is very very important to make sure the battery is FULLY charged if your bike has fuel injection

 

If you have a BATTERY TENDER or something similiar you can charge a sealed battery since it will not overcharge the battery. It stops charging when it is done
