Welcome to the Forum, I 'm one of those who is not super fussy about Synth or Dino
...... my thing is change the oil often at a reasonable cost with a good filter !!

So I choose Dino - Rotella- Castrol 4T etc etc .......basically whatever is a good deal
and does not have friction modifiers aka "energy conserving" on it !

Agreed, as long as you are just riding normally you should be fine. The key is to be on top of maintenance because everything mechanical must be maintained properly. Synth does have it's advantages but it's so much money, personally I just change the oil more often.

I ride an F4i, so I dunno if your question is 600RR specific, but I'm a big fan of full Synth, when I got the bike I switched out the Gn4 for Amsoil, and I felt a big difference in the shifts. Yes, It's expensive, but the way I look at it my bike is worth it

Since Rotella is marketed mostly towards farmers and other heavy equipment operators, it's not very expensive compared to "motorcycle" oil -- and you can buy it in 5 gallon pails Find a good sale and a hundred bucks a year will put full synth Rotella T6 in 5 bikes, a quad, and a garden tractor . . . for example
