Spring fever strikes again - Project F3
***update***
Loosened the triples and standing over the front wheel gave the bars a tweak and voila! Steering is centered. Is running better and better the more I ride it. So I'll let the seafoam/high-test work it's way through the system. Getting tags and passing emissions test is phase 1. Phase 2 is to rebuild transmission and anything I find worn on the bottom end. Phase 3 is paint & accoutrements.
Some might think I should wait to emissions-test it after everything else, but I have two state troopers up the street from me. No Bueno for the test drives.

At a crossroads today:
A. Junk the fairing bracket and put a round headlight on. Cost to do this is about $85. Like the retro look.
B. Straighten the fairing bracket and reuse the stock headlamp. Cost $10 for the bulb and new plug plus the labor to straighten a very complex bracket. Got it about 90% tonight, by heating and pulling, prying, etc.
Issues: mounting mirrors with the round lamp. Bar end mirrors are no good because my shoulders and arms eclipse them. Besides, I really like the stock mirror placement. Solid and in the right spot.
Anyone with insight on trimming the dash to look right with the round lamp?
Anyone with insight on trimming the front fairing for a "nearly naked" look?
