RE: signed up for my MSF
I had signed up for a two-day course this weekend. I got an e-mail last week telling me they had lost access to the lot they were using, I would have to reschedule for a three-day class. Gee, the whole reason I signed up for the Sat./Sun. class was so I wouldn't have to take off two days from work or early on a Friday afternoon. So I rescheduled for yesterday, today, and tomorrow and put in two twelve-hours in a row so I could leave early yesterday. I was driving from southern Jersey where I was in training for the last month backhome to Richmond. I left at noon, giving myself an almostfour-hour margin to account for traffic and whatnot. I got stuck in a63 mile backup that extended from Maryland to mile 123 in VA. Every backroad was at a standstill, I got to class just over the 15 minutes they allow and they wouldn't let me in. That's right, it tookme seven hours togo 250 miles. They have a draconian reschedule/cancellation policy (prettymuchNONE)but luckily the guy who runs it is willing to work with me on it since they inconvenienced me, so as it is I won't be taking the class until next weekend. Sorry for the long post, but I had to vent...

Agreed to the great foundation. I had an awesome time at my beginner class. It was like being with a family of people who love the sport. My instructors were excellent and very knowledgeable. I will go back for the experienced course as well b/c I had such a good time and learned so many good techniques.
