Security for my New Bike 09 cbr 600 abs
Guys i am new here and wanted to know the best products out there i can use to secure my bike at home and on the road (If i leave it at a parking lot etc). I really don't want my bike stolen since i spent so much money to get it. I know bike s are easy to steal but i am just trying to have the best security i can provide for my bike to make it a bit harder for thieves to steal it. A little security is better than no security right!!! Thanks guys

Welcome man, first rule of thumb is to park it in as public and populated a spot as
possible , then take your pick of these lock front and rear rims together then lock down
the frame to something that is bomb proof . basically make the task of stealing it as
time consuming an ordeal as possible.......... thieves go for the easy quick score first and
generally bikes that are parked in out of sight places
Enjoy the forum & ride safe

Hey welcome aboard!
Security is a tough one. Too much and you can't take it with you (no place to store some of the chains I've seen in our bikes)
Something I found helpful when trying to find a security solution was Webbikeworld's Motorcycle Alarms, Locks, Immobilizers review section. I went with the Cyclone 866F alarm but will prolly upgrade to a Scorpio 2 way alarm soon

hello
security is so important nowadays!
because many people save money to do this hobby.
i got like this really big chain from Abuus and i also got this little tweeter that goes off after five seconds, and its pretty annoying!
good luck at the lockdown.
ps: some guys do really have nice signatures but mine doesn't seem to work
can somebody help me?
thnx

Hey there Redliner1, mighty nice bike you got there. It would be a real shame if something were to happen to it.
Relax; don't worry about it, I'm a professional j/k... congratulations.
I'm so over-protective, I won't ride anywhere I can't keep visual contact with it the entire time. Otherwise, it just sits in the garage.
Basic common sense, park it at well lighted areas preferably were there's lots of people. Alarms are nice, specially (as mentioned above) the ones that are irritatingly LOUD, and a big f'n chain is a must.
Post some pics if you get the chance...

Oh yeah and don't be afraid to park where you need to.
When I'm going to ride some more during the day, I park my bike right on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. I 'valet' park when going out (basically pay to park my bike right out front cause they ain't riding it). Go to Best Buy? Right next to the entrance door.
Tell me to move? I tell em my business goes with my bike

Haha Kuro we are more alike than you know.
I park my bike right beside my house.. as a matter of fact I can hear/see it right by my bed. I lock the bars so it can only roll 2 feet both ways before hitting the sides of the apartment, and it's nestled in there... it would take a group of 5 guys to get my bike out.. and I'd be behind them with a shotgun and a samurai sword... the sword would be mainly for show.. but they don't know that.
