Default Recently got a CBR500R

Hello! I'm 20 years old and I've been riding a Chinese 200cc for about 2 years. Recently bought a used CBR500R and I'm excited to be a part of this community. As of right now I am not super mechanically inclined but I'm trying to learn. Since I got the bike a week ago, I've topped up the oil and cleaned the chain but that's about it. I've attached a picture of my bike to this post below.
I hope everyone is having a great day and I look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome! Looks like a nice upgrade from the scooter!

This forum has helped me with so much maintenance and modding that I feel comfortable saying I've been able to go from knowing almost nothing about how my bike worked to being "semi" competent... except for electronics... I hate electronics... lol.

That's great! I hope I'll be able to gain a lot of knowledge and be able to work on my bike from time to time. Electronics do sound complicated to me, have you tried messing with them before?

I've done some very minor work like rewiring my tail light but, fortunately, I've no bugs show up so far... (knocks on wood!) Seems like most issues that occur involve testing connections, finding "shorts", or making sure things are properly grounded.. and I have no idea what any of that really means... lol...

That's a huge jump in quality from your previous bike for sure. Welcome.
