Aloha from Hawaii, the name is Ray and I'm originally from Dallas, Tx. The Navy shipped me here about 9yrs ago. Anyways, I'm lookin at buying a 2009 CBR 1000RR w/ABS, 8500mi, for around $8500. Only issue I've got is that it's stretched and lowered. That's just not my cup of tea. This would be my third bike (06 Kawi 636 and 07 MV Agusta F4), so I'm fairly knowledgeable about bikes, but it's been about 2yrs since I've had a bike and so I'd like to take the bike back to stock (which he still has all the parts).

What I need help on is what is the stock length for the adjustment screw for the swingarm? Any other tips or things to look out for with this model?

Welcome to the CBR Forum Ray,

And welcome back to the world of two-wheels. Hard to stay away isn't it?

Probably best to pose your question in the CBR 1000RR section of the forum. Not everyone reads the Welcome posts.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to CBRF! We've got another great member here from Hawaii. She has a couple of bikes and rides a lot with other Hawaiian riders. Buying a stretched and lowered bike is no problem. Taking it back to stock will net you some money most likely. I'm sure some kids that want that will give you good money for that setup, certainly enough to offset the costs of taking it back to stock.
