Talking Newbie CBR500 Member Soon to be Owner

Hi. I just sold my 2004 Kawasaki Ninja. I am waiting for my 2015 Honda CBR500 to arrive. It is a leftover being shipped brand new from Honda to the Motorsports shop where I bought it. It is Silver and I will post photos of it when I get it. I am excited to be here. I'm hoping the jump to 500ccs will not be intimidating. I think it will be awesome. I learned to ride last June and had put 2000 miles on the Ninja (250 cc). I realized one day that I had done all I could with the 250cc and the type of riding I hope to do will require more ccs. I think this is going to be an awesome bike for me. I hope I won't outgrow it right away as so many tell me I will.

Happy to be here and hello!

Hello there! Welcome to our corner of the internet.

It will be a while before you grow out of that bike. You have a lot to learn about riding and the 500 will be perfect for it. I bet that if you learn how to ride properly, you will be able to blow the levers off most of those who think they need bigger bikes.

I'm glad Honda and others have put so much effort into beginner bike, the Honda 500 seems perfect and something you won't get bored of too quickly like a 250 or 300

I love lil bikes. You can wring their guts out and not be on an episode of Cops!

Not to mention they're physically smaller, simpler, and just outright fun.

Welcome to CBRF!

Default It's here!

My Honda finally arrived. Here's the first pic as taken outside North Reading Motorsports where I bought him...

So much fun and so proud to ride it for the first time tonight. Took the long way home and I am better for it!

A tank of gas is cheaper than a therapist.
